The Maker born Alfonso Lawrence in Detroit Michigan. Majored in music in Detroit public school. His band directors were Marice Davis trumpet in Motown's band. James Tatum of The Modern Jazz Combo and so on. He join the Detroit Federation Of Musicians At age 16. He was then booked in hundreds of clubs in the Detroit area by then president Jim Lewis. Playing with some stars and up coming entertainers as Walter Jackson , David Ruffin, Edwin Star, Eric & the Vicking, Alexander O'neal and Gospel singer Vanessa Bell just to name A few. Playing rock & roll also during the day of plum street in the hippie area places like The Grandy Ball Room & Eastown. As Motown Began to move from Detroit and the Disco area began, the Dj's began to take over the clubs. At this time he decided to take A Tool & Die Aprenticship making music secondary .Being endentured as A Tool Maker the Tag began The Maker. After thirty years of manufacturing in the auto industry and A down turn, The Maker has returned to his first love of music. 2003 he returned playing as A street musician later joining The Recovery Band on Bass & vocal. This is his first solo project singing and playing all the music.
