Best from the West: Modern Sounds from California
This 1955 Blue Note release returns to its original 10" vinyl. The musicians initially weren’t listed, and this was presented as sort of a guessing game, but they include Conte Candoli, Harry "Sweets" Edison, Jimmy Giuffre and more of the West Coast’s best, playing "Santa Anita," "Santa Monica," "Hooray for Hollywood," "Culver City" and "The Blind Fold Test Nos. 1 & 2." Sweet sounds abound! Blue Note.
