Child of the Blues
Introducing Bonnie McCoy, a true "child of the blues." from East St. Louis, Illinois, she is the daughter and niece respectively of singer-guitarists George and Ethel McCoy, and is related to blues brothers Joe and Charlie McCoy, and also, by marriage, to Joe's one-time wife Memphis Minnie. With such a rich musical heritage, it is little wonder Bonnie McCoy would absorb that legacy and shine in her own right. To her aunt Ethel McCoy's style of blues singing, Bonnie lends her own strong voice and talent for composing catchy original songs in a modern style. Tracks: 1. Black Cat Blues 2.
