B*tweenz is a new group from Louisiana, the members are Ashley & Amber Begnaud, Ashley is 14 and Amber is 12. They are sisters who got their start by performing in local children theatres, Ashley performed in her first musical at the age of 4 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Amber performed in her first musical at the age of 8 also in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Their first CD, Then And Now is in honor of all the artist from Louisiana, all Songwriters, Musicians, And Singers. They picked eight songs they thought kids would like. The eight songs inclued Barefootin', this song was originally sung by Robert Parker from New Orleans, Break-A-Way,this song was original sung by Irma Thomas, from Ponchatoula/New Orleans, Cocodrie, this song was written and sung by Papillion, he comes from cajun country, I'm Gonna Be A Wheel Someday, written by D. Bartholmew and R.Hayes both from Louisiana, and original sung by Fats Domino, from New Orleans, Louisiana Christmas Day, original sung by Aaron Neville, New Orleans, They ALl Ask'd For You, writen by Modeliste, Neville, Porter, and Nocentell, and sung by The Meters, from New Orleans, Working In The Coal Mine, written by Allen Tossaint, and original sung by Lee Dorsey, both are from New Orleans, See You Later Alligator, written by Robert Guidry, from Abbeville, Louisiana. They included a bonus track, one of their favorite pop songs. Ashley & Amber are currently writing songs for their second album which will be a pop CD.
