Gonna Shake This Shack Tonight-Busy Body Boogie
Jumpin’ Bill Carlisle took over from brother Cliff in perpetuating the Carlisle country music dynasty and by the early ’50s was one of the biggest draws on the circuit with a red-hot country boogie sound propelled by a feller you might have heard of: Chet Atkins! This 34-track set includes the Carlisles’ Mercury sessions as well as the best of their never-issued RCA and Columbia sides, featuring such numbers as "Too Old to Cut the Mustard," "Iz Zat You Myrtle," "No Help Wanted," "Leave That Liar Alone," their cover of the Drifters’ "Honey Love" and more. Hugely influential on the rockabillies to come!
