Louisville, Kentucky's own The City Limits are here with their debut album, 'Connected'. A refreshing blend of soul, traditional gospel, hard rock and straight-forward worship music, 'Connected' is fully capable of becoming your new favorite CD. The City Limits were formed by Brent Barnett in 2006, at Eastern Kentucky University. In just a short period, The City Limits have been blessed to share the stage with Thee Ensemble and Adrianne Archie, amass a steady fanbase, sign with established college booking agency W2 Entertainment, and to minister across the Southeast. Now, with 'Connected', The City Limits are poised to touch lives all over the world. The group is made up entirely of students at EKU, and is inspired by God's work in the lives of the members. On one of the standout tracks, 'Psalm 86 (Guard My Life)', Brent shares the testimony of how that scripture blessed his father in the midst of a health crisis. 'There Is a Fountain' is a new take on a classic hymn, which describes of the power of Christ's blood. The album's finisher, 'I Am Not Ashamed' is a powerful worship anthem, destined to become a standard in churches across the country. "Connected" is an example of where gospel is going: back to real worship.
