Moonlight Made a Fool of Me
Craig Chasen is a songwriter with a sense of melody and lyrical cohesion that is rare. His 10 years in Hollywood, being the winner of the very first ASCAP Lester Sill Songwriter's Workshop, under the tutelage of Arthur Hamilton (Cry Me A River) as well as spending 'time in the trenches' have produced seasoned songwriting skills and a truly unique style. Teaming up with Robert McEntee in the 80's when Robert was the lead guitarist and vocalist with Carole King, Craig and Robert began a long history of writing and recording together, which has continued into Moonlight Made A Fool Of Me. Craig's songs have been published by CBS Songs and Rondor International, with a recent composition just taken by Universal Pictures for an upcoming film. And now in Colorado, Craig's simple 'publisher demos' have been elevated into full productions by his coincidental reunion with LA comrade; Doug Haywood, who played bass and sang with Jackson Browne when Craig was a struggling songwriter. Craig's LA connections with many phenomenal players and singers has resulted in the outstanding talent now assembled on his first full recording of his own songs, including Rosemary Butler, Doug Haywood, and Robert McEntee. And, as you listen (loudly!), the production and layering of instruments is just as captivating as the marvelous melodies that are Craig Chasen's signature.
