Twin Sons of Different Mothers / Phoenix [Import]
After several years of flirting with it, Fogelberg finally broke into the pop Top 10 with these 1978 and 1979 albums. It’s amazing that Twin Sons emerged as his breakthrough, as it was his jazz-laced collaboration with Tim Weisberg (it did, though, have the pop perfection of The Power of Gold in its corner). That hit and the rest of that 1978 LP join Phoenix, his 1980 platinum-selling triumph featuring the hits Longer and Heart Hotels plus Face the Fire; the title song, and more!
