Dimitri is recognized as a first-rate guitarist and performer by audiences from the concert halls in the U.K. to the islands of Hawaii. Dimitri's talent has also won him several top prizes including a silver medal in the Wurlitzer National Soloist Competition and gold medals in the Stetson University and Florida State University Concerto Competitions. Dimitri's musical tastes and compositional influences are ecclectic and diverse. His concerts frequently comprise styles from core classical repertoire to contemporary fingerstyle works. At the age of eight, with Elvis, Roy Clark and Segovia as musical influences, Dimitri began classical guitar lessons. Two years later he gave his first solo recital. Dimitri has a Bachelor of Music degree from Stetson University, and a Master of Music degree from Florida State University. During his years of formal training, Dimitri studied with some of the world's greatest teachers and performers, including Pepe Romero, David Russell, Roland Dyens, Oscar Ghiglia, Carlos Barbosa-Lima, Scott Tennant, Andrew York, Tommy Emmanuel, Bruce Holzman, Stephen Robinson, Ricardo Iznaola and Ben Verdery. Dimitri has four compact disc recordings: his debut, 'SixString - 2000', 'Acoustic Journey', 'Pasion, Fuego y Romanza' and 'Songs I Know by Heart'. Presently, Dimitri lives in Los Angeles where he teaches privately and concertizes regularly as a soloist and ensemble player, while enjoying an active career as a an actor, studio musician, writer and producer. This year Dimitri has shot four films and one TV show. On September 5th, the tv show, 'Table for Three' will start airing on the new network, My Network, Monday thru Friday 8-9pm. Dimitri plays the role of Sergei Kraislov, the Russian mafia boss who chases the Italian mafia boss to resolve their business deal.
