Got to Know
You could say he was asking for it when he came up with his DJ moniker. But don't fret; you can be assured that if you were ever left alone in a room with Discotouch, you would have nothing to be scared about. Immaculately dressed in a suit and so very well-mannered, he'd probably try and touch you with his love of the addictive disco & Latin sound instead. But why bother with that? Isn't that yesterday's style? Surely he should know electro is the way to go these days? Well, no it's never gone out of style. Discotouch always believes the fundamental funk, disco and soul has never left the minds of clubbers, at the end of the day a familiar disco track will always get the crowd moving. A track sounds awesome to the punters but it's 5 years old. Who cares? Not to say we're talking cheesy retro tunes all night, but not everybody wants to hear just the latest tunes in the dance world - they really do want something they can connect with. Sporting a residency at Syrup Nightclub as well as playing at many other venues, Discotouch has supported the likes of Jay-J, Supafly Inc., and Housexy and other Ministry gigs in the past. He's also been a prominent act at the recent Ten Days on the Island festival. "Got to Know", the first single from his debut album features the vocals of Michaela Young, and that crunching fuzzy bass sound that's oh-so-groovy. With a video for the single on the cards, as well as an album at the end of the year, Discotouch is set to unleash his twisted disco and diverse style of electronica & house to the unsuspecting public.
