One Winter's Night
Steven Gores and Marcy Russ started writing and arranging piano and flute music together in the mid-1990s. Steven has a smooth piano style all his own, incorporating both jazz and classical training. Marcy's years of flute studies include classical and jazz as well, and she plays with sensitivity and intimacy that invites you into the music. This collecition of seasonal pieces was recorded in the middle of another project, Dream Sweet's disc 'Open Window'. One Winter's night, with snow swirling outside the studio window, this inspired collection of original arrangements began to take shape. 'We both felt like it was a gift, says Marcy. There were a lot of moments where we just turned on the mikes, chose a key, and played our hearts out - and this magic happened...' With this, we present, 'One Winter's Night.'
