Eastbaysick is a live high energy hip hop group consisting of four artists/ entrepreneurs. They have talent, drive, and a great sense of dedication. Growing up in the Oakland Bay Area quickly acquainted them with street knowledge and ultimately honed their skills as businessmen and musicians. They will succeed in this business because they are savvy and have the endurance. They have already begun learning the ropes of the music industry through networking, sales, and their own individual experiences. .... Founding member and emcee Frank Stacks released his first project titled "Everybody Knows Me" in the summer of 2003. Around the same time, drummer, engineer and business owner Chris Paxton opened up Nexus Audio Recording Studios in Oakland Ca., he has been recording various artists and music projects ever since. Eastbaysick's keyboardist/background vocalist JALLAH is a classically trained pianist of 17 years who has competed in and won a variety of orchestral and live band competitions all over the world. In November of 2005, the two main vocalists (Frank Stacks and L-$) released their first album "The Dollar Breathing Dragons" which features Bay Area artists MISTAH F.A.B. and Turf Talk, as well as many other well know bay area rappers. The combined forces of these four talented individuals make up the much talked about and one of a kind live electronic rap team, whose album consists of realistic expression of the bay area, and music scene as a whole, with impeccable production and unforgettable lyrics. Their debut album "Virtual Reality" is what the music scene is missing. It not only brings rap and hip hop back to it's roots, but brings about a new wave of entertainment. The entire album is self produced by Eastbaysick and has few features including hip hop pioneer Shock G from Digital Undergroung funk and soul group Whogas, and alternative metal group Weslester. Eastbaysick is reminiscent of some of their strongest influences from, 2Pac, Eminem, and Spice 1, to as far as Michael Jackson, Frank Zappa, and Weird Al Yankovic. Eastbaysick is also largely inspired by the sounds they grew up on: from the Beatles to 80's Synth-Funk, and the grunge of the 90's. With an uncanny charismatic live performance to back their outstanding production, Eastbaysick is a force to be reckoned with. ....
