With the release of her first recording, Eileen Laverty made a very impressive introduction to the music scene. She has performed across Canada and Ireland, and has shared the stage with renowned Canadian artists John McDermott and Ian Tyson, as well as international folk legend Mary Black. Her music has been heard from coast to coast and is featured on a number of compilation CDs, radio and television programs. Laverty's first recording effort, Dancing With Angels won a Prairie Music Award for Outstanding Roots Recording and continues to draw praise at home and abroad. Her song, Tread Softly, is featured on the US release, Songs Inspired By Literature, alongside tracks from David Bowie, Tom Waits, Rosanne Cash and Steve Earle. Internationally acclaimed singer Mary Black recorded Laverty's song, "Wildest Dreams", which was released Worldwide as the single for Black's Best of 1991-2001 CD. 'Corinthians' was recently recorded by Canadian Tenor, John McDermott, sung by Cindy Church, on the 2005 release, 'Just Plain Folk'.
