The challenge of creating music in collaboration with choreographers was the inspiration for the aspiring Greek composer, Emmanouel Sgouridis, to write music, for his first CD release, entitled «CHOREOGRAPHED WORKS». The composer, taking under consideration the kinesiological aspects of the choreographies, creates soundscapes to accompany the motion, the feeling and the intensity that these choreographies contain. The classical instruments (violin, violoncello, flute, viola, piano), in harmony with Greek traditional instruments (Cretan lyra, percussion) create pleasant surprises for the listener, in a "dance" of sound colors, without restrictions. The music of this CD can't be contained in a single category, since the composer employs a phraseology, which ranges from the romantic to the contemporary. Intensity and melancholy constantly switch places, creating a 'haunting' soundscape. All music composed, orchestrated and produced by Emmanouel Sgouridis. Children's choir conducted by Iro Koulieraki. Soprani: Iro Koulieraki, Eva Saloustrou Recorded, mixed and mastered at Echotropion Studio, by Mihalis Boutsakis.
