This collection represents a Five Eyed Hand 'live set' Five Eyed Hand is rolling into 2009 with some great shows and repeat visits to some of our favorite spots. The summer of 2008 brought the band to High Sierra Music Festival, Harmony Festival and Bobolink. During their psychedelic jazz journey Five Eyed Hand has had the great pleasure of jamming with Fareed Haque,Eric Levy, Jeff Miller,Eric McFadden, Trevor Garrod, James Whiton, Garaj Mahal and Blue Turtle Seduction. Always churning out new sounds, you never know what you are going to get at a 5EH show. One minute it can be rocking swinging jazz, the next some nasty dirty madness, or the band can swiftly move into a acoustic sing along. Watch Derek Bodkin step away from the drum kit and pull out the acoustic guitar or banjo to share his original acoustic songs and unique finger picking style. 'Fiddler Mikey' Henderson, a virtuoso on Electric Violin and Mandolin, has been known to the Bay Area music scene since the early 90s. He is best known from the Santa Cruz based band Grampas Chili and toured extensively through California and beyond. Fiddler Mikey brings his amazing ear and mind blowing rhythmic melodies to this project. Bass master Jeb Taylor comes from a variety of local projects and lends his amazing sonic touch with highly impressive harmonic vocabulary to create an extraordinary groove. Chris Zanardi, on his Gibson ES-135 guitar, you will hear lots of orginal compositions and non-stop musical energy from this 6 stringer. This band is capable of anything and are often joined by incredible guest artists. Each member brings their own compositions, technical skills and unique improvisational energy to this lineup to help propel the music and the listener into the stratosphere.
