Another Fine Day
Making this CD was great fun for me and the band. We had used horns on the 'Tribute To Paul Butterfield' and the 'In Memory Of Michael Bloomfield' CDs but that was using guests and doing Paul and Michael's material. This is the first FBB release with full on horns doing our own material. The material definitely has more of a R&B, Rock feel but the blues is the nuts and bolts holding it all together. While most of the songs are originals I got a real kick out of doing old classics like 'Monkey Time' and 'Taste And Try.' It was wonderful having my son Gabriel in to sing one of his originals with us and to have my brother Mark in to play harp on 'Reap What You So.' It was all good fun. I must admit I was quite surprised when I realized we had only recorded one shuffle on this project, I do love a good shuffle, but all in all I am quite happy with it. Patrick Ford.
