Good Loser Club
Three acclaimed songwriters take a break from their regular bands and make an album in three and a half days in a room above a garage in the Catskills. Frank Randall, Mark Lerner, and Mark Donato are joined by guitarist Chris Erikson for music inspired by the city, the mountains, changing diapers, nice old analog equipment, and sleep deprivation. FRANK RANDALL fronts Minneapolis band The Sycamores, who have released 3 albums of country-tinged rock. MARK LERNER has fronted folk-punk orchestra Flat Old World and bluegrass-dub-everything band Rosine, while playing bass with Life in a Blender and other side projects. MARK DONATO has 3 solo albums to his credit as a singer and songwriter and has been a much beloved drummer for John Linnell, Flat Old World, and others. CHRIS ERIKSON is the roots-rock guitarist to the stars, including Matt Keating, Florence Dore, Tandy, Spike Priggen, Scott McClatchy, Jay Sherman-Godfrey, Shotgun Shack, The Sycamores, The Harmony Rockets (w/Charlie Chesterman), Mary McBride, and Will Rigby's Unmentionables.
