Hapa Folk RESUME Hapa Folk has been entertaining since 2001; it's present complement of players has been performing since January 2004. Hapa Folk plays a wide range of American folk, oldies rock, traditional and contemporary Hawaiian and hula. Hapa Folk has performed at large events at the Convention Center, Mid Pac Country Club, Koolau Country Club, Oahu Country Club, Pacific Club and Maile Room - Kahala Mandarin as well as numerous venues for baby luau, weddings, business openings, retirement parties, testimonials, and company and private parties. Hapa Folk plays on regular basis at the Outrigger Canoe Club and Punahou School functions. Hapa Folk recently traveled to San Francisco where it performed at the Ball Room of the Union Square Hilton. Group members include: James M.K. Stone, Jr.: lawyer, partner Pitluck Kido Stone and Aipa. Kamehameha '74, KSB Hawaiian Ensemble, UH Law '88. Bass, guitar, ukulele, banjo, hula. Current President of the Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame and bass player for Ku'uipo Kumukahi and the Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame Serenaders. The Serenaders recently won the 2008 Na Hoku Hanohano award for Album of the Year. Poki'i Vaughan: businessman, president Royal Hawaiian Hot Dog Company. Kamehameha '64, University of Hawaii '70. Guitar, lead vocalist. Also member of Kualoa. Doug Kilpatrick: businessman, developer, consultant. Punahou '57, Stanford '61. Guitar, ukulele and banjo on occasion. Also member of the Punahou Alumni Glee Club.
