Nothing More to Say
Born in Chicago and raised in Nashville, Hiphi has lived music from day one. Among his four independently released records, the self- titled release was praised by the Nashville Scene for it's "bouncy hooks." Hiphi produced the record with longtime friend Jaren Johnston of American Bang, who sang those hooks. He has also co-written songs with Matt Friction of the Pink Spiders and Denitia Odigie. When not banging out hot tracks of his own, Hiphi has been known to produce for other artists, including Jack Dyer, Mack GT and a country-western full length for Nashville's own Kevin Neal. As if all this didn't make him sound busy and well-rounded enough, know also that Hiphi moonlights as independent filmmaker whose work can be seen on his Myspace and YouTube pages. Oh, and he is also a superhero who rescues kittens from trees long before fire trucks can reach them. Scratch that last one. Just know that in spite of his manifold talents, Hiphi never takes himself too seriously while retaining a serious commitment to making art in all forms. These days, Hiphi is launching an independent record label called HiPhidelity and he couldn't be more excited about this venture. Be on the lookout for the debut release from this new indie imprint, Hiphi's fresh EP, "Nothing More to Say."
