Same Story Live
Holly is a singer, songwriter, and musician from Rochester, NY. On November 17th, 2007 Holly's concert was recorded, and has become her first widespread album, "Same Story live". Holly wrote the title song, "Same Story", during her year in Denmark, and considers this song to be the story of her life. It speaks of the common struggle between living life behind a mask, and being who we really are. As is a common thread in all of her music, her honesty and passion resound through her lyrics. Holly's musical background includes a wide range of experience. She's been singing as long as she can remember, began playing percussion and drums at age 9, and started playing guitar (self-taught) at age 10. She has sung and played in various settings and styles of music, including school choirs, concert bands, jazz bands, jazz choir, show choir, orchestras, church choirs and bands, a ska-influenced rock band, a celtic fiddlers group, a traveling music and drama group (in Germany), and acoustic guitar solos and duos in coffee houses. Having served as a worship leader (vocally and on guitar) for church groups since her teen years, Holly has continued leading worship through her college years at MorningStar School of Ministry, through her year in Denmark where she served as a teacher's assistant in the School of Worship (part of the International Alpostolic Bible College), and at present in her local church. She has led worship for various Christian gatherings throughout the USA and abroad (England, Germany, Denmark). Her passion and skill for song-writing has greatly developed over the years, beginning with simple, spontaneous melodies created during and about daily-life moments, and has since matured into an expression of musical and lyrical creativity releasing passion, raw honesty, truth, desire for God, and freedom. Holly is now happily married to her best friend, Dave Kluge.
