I was taught to sing by my mother whom I affectionately call Queen Wandalene and whose formal vocal training and New Orleans roots have given me a passion for jazz. I grew up listening to my dad's jazz albums which included legends Sarah Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald, Dinah Washington and jazz other greats. I fell in love with the art form and started mimicking these greats by the time I was seven. Soon afterwards, my infatuation of world beat music developed when I started listening to Egyptian, Brazilian and Afro-Cuban music which enforced passion, deep rhythms and melodic harmonies-things captured in my music. My music is melodic, upbeat and rocking! YES! I consider myself to be a late bloomer in all aspects of my life. I finally started pursuing my passion for singing full-time and not a moment too soon! Come along friends and join me!
