Jezrael Hood, known in the rap game as J-Rhel is the hottest act emerging into the industry. As a native of Charlotte, N.C., J-Rhel, formerly known as 'Adrenaline', has been rapping since the age of 9 while watching his older brother, V, perform. After the death of his 2nd brother in 1995, J-Rhel began to use rap as a means of channeling his anger and expressing himself. While using rap as an outlet, he discovered that not only could he use the art to express himself but friends, family, producers, and others realized he displayed a natural talent in doing so. He has since stepped up to a position where most contenders would find it hard to compete. With his calm, quiet demeanor, that is deceiving to most, J-RHELs style and ability to rock the mic, not only appeals to the fellas but to the ladies alike. At the young age, J-Rhel got his name 'Adrenaline' from his ability to move the crowd through the explosive energy he delivers in his lyrics. Being an advocate fan of R&B since childhood, J-Rhel says he loves to listen to the messages found in the meaningful lyrics and hooks that in turn aids in his own unique style as a hip hop artist. He admits that most of the ideas that he creates while writing comes from his own real-life situations that he has personally experienced. He feels that the realistic nature of his music will help capture his audience, who can hear his rhythmic flow at clubs in the Atlanta area where he now resides and is a Junior at Devry. Along with the slick sounds created by producers Kato, Supa and himself, J-Rhel is confident that he has the tools to stay in the game. When asked where he sees himself in the years to come as a rap artist, J-Rhel replies, I see myself on top, because I'm likable, I hungry for making it and I have a love for what I do.' With that being said, he is definitely a force to be reckoned with and has the adrenaline to make it happen. 'Carolina Juke' is the anthem of the Carolinas. It shows that Carolinas are emerging as a force in the Hip Hop game. Like the song says, it's that shhhhhhh! 'Oh No'! Think dirty south mosh pit, raw and dirty, it's that new rider music!
