Singer/songwriter Jaedelle, born in Mauritius and raised in Australia, has been singing since the tender age of 8 and began crafting her songs at 11 years old. After being an active and vocal member of several local R&B groups and Soul bands, she ventured solo, heading to the United States at 19, with various demo tapes. Jaedelle has been fortunate enough to experience many parts of the world with the opportunity to live throughout the US, spending most her time in New York and California. After hearing some extraordinarily, distinct music from Northern California in 2005, Jaedelle not only fell in love with the sound but with the swagger and staggering culture of the "Yay Area". By a 'chance' meeting with Preez Earz founder, Dupree Olasande over Myspace, Jaedelle flew out to the Bay Area in December 2005 to become the label's first artist (Preez Earz Entertainment). Later in 2006, the streets were littered with Jaedelle's first US release, titled "Diet Hyphy" the Mixtape. This Mixtape had the streets shakin' dreads with hits like "Feelin' It (Hyphy Show)" over E-40's national hit "Tell Me Where To Go", "Hyphy Universal" over Mac Dre's "Get Stupid" and "Haterz" over Frontlines' "Bang It" beat. This Mixtape also showcased original bangers such as "Punk Rock Beazy", "I\'ve Come Up", and "Oh Yeah". With Jaedelle's R&B vocals on the bass heavy 'Bay' Beats, Olasande and Jaedelle coined the term "Diet Hyphy". This term was simply used to describe the fusion in Jaedelle's music creating her own unique sound. At present Jaedelle is promoting her official debut album, titled "The Baytrix". On this album, Jaedelle breaks the mould of todays R&B artists with her daring and edgy lyrics with a soulful angelic delivery. "The Baytrix" features a mix of hyper-energy \'Bay-Area\' slappers that joins a unique marriage between the streets and the clubs. Several tracks incorporate hard hitting beats while others highlight her sultry and more softer side. The Production showcases trunk rattling, heavy hitting sounds sprinkled with uptempo strings, brass and futuristic instrumentation which will get your head bopping.
