Deliverance Will Come
Every Saturday night for a quarter of a century, Janette Carter took the stage at the Carter Family Fold to make good the promise she made to her father, Carter Family patriarch A.P. Carter, to keep his music alive. Janette made very few albums in her career, but now Bear Family has resurrected her Howdyadoo LP from 1973 along with some newer recordings, all imbued with the sound of Janette’s Appalachian-style vocals and autoharp. Includes Bury Me Beneath the Willow; The Storms Are on the Ocean; Sea of Galilee, and 27 more.
