Jorie Raine is one of the most exciting new talents to emerge from the new generation of country/pop artists. When you listen to Jorie's music you don't get hype, just talent, charisma, and truly great singing and songwriting. Her music connects with fans because it comes from the heart and soul of a real person. Jorie grew up in a big family (3 brothers and 3 sisters) in Brockton, a small town in Massachusetts. She began learning to play and write when her family won a piano in a raffle when Jorie was only ten years old. After high school she attended the Berkley School of Music to further hone her already impressive songwriting skills, and later studied at the Boston Songwriter's workshop. Her first break cam when she played some of her music for her dentist who was so impressed he offered to finance a set of recording sessions. With those demo recordings in hand Jorie moved to Los Angeles where her extraordinary talent, combined with her striking appearance and powerful stage presence, quickly garnered her the industry attention needed to set the wheels of her career in motion. With the release of her debut CD 'California Country' Jorie seems destined for great things. The first single, 'Old Guitar' was in rotation on hundreds of radio stations across the country and peaked two national charts at number 19 (Indie Country top 50) and number 23 (Christian Country, top 100). Jorie will soon be making concert appearances from Nashville to Los Angeles where fans can experience her down-to-earth charm firsthand. Jorie's voice is soft yet strong. Her heartfelt lyrics speak to the universal emotions of every man and woman. There is also a deep spirituality within her music that speaks to the values and concerns that underlie everyday life. Backed by an incredible group of musicians and recorded with top-notch productions, her CD is being embraced by both fans an industry insiders who are hungry for sincere music from a true artist.
