Johnny Be Happy
Joshua elevates you to a unique place where Electronica meets Raw Emotion, a sound that is truely meant to be experienced. Fluid and emotional, Joshua has a soul-searching delivery that comes from fearlessly reaching deep inside oneself. Born and raised in the south, Joshua has always followed his heart. He developed a love for music at an early age and shares his unique experience through the journey of sound. His first effort, an eclectic collection of songs inspired by the rhythm of his life, reflects a true sense of purpose with it's ethereal beats and forceful energy. Diverse as it is genuine, the album melds Joshua's influences --- Boy George, Moloko and the Brand New Heavies --- to deliver a unique blend of pop, blue-eyed soul and electronica. The first single, 'Johnny Be Happy' was released in the spring of 2006. The track, written by Joshua and producer, Europa, focuses on the letting go of a loved one --- who cannot manage to find happiness in his relationship --- by the person that loves him the most. Included in the EP is another original track called 'Sanctuary', a sultry account of seduction and vulnerability, as well as a remake of the Siouxsie and the Banshee's hit, 'Peek A Boo'. Currently, in collaboration with Battery 5, Joshua is producing his first full-length CD, due out in Spring '07. ****These copies are signed by Joshua.
