A self-taught singer, Patti Littlefield performs all types of music from R&B to bebop, from jazz to blues to rock. She has recorded songwriter's demos for Ken Hirsch, Teddy Vann, Billy Cioffi and the late Doc Pomus, and has recorded with Luther Vandross. Patti has worked as a studio singer on both coasts (New York and Los Angeles) and has been performing locally in Albuquerque for 15 years. For the 'resonance' project, Patti teamed up with one of Albuquerque's finest low brass improvisers, Mark Weaver, for an unusual and experimental exploration of spatial sound: no chordal instruments, just tuba and voice, refashioning material that ranges from standards to pop tunes and original compositions. Mark has been playing low-brass instruments since 1970, recording and performing in a broad variety of ensembles, including numerous live music projects for theater and film. He has contributed to or led recordings on ten different record labels.
