Just Being Me!
'O sing unto the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth" Psalm 96:1 In September 1998, God birthed into the heart of Lonnie Coppock II, the vision of forming a music ensemble that would sing praises unto the glory of the Lord; praises that would glorify God, causing yokes to be broken that deliverance would be received. With much prayer and supplication, as members joined, the ensemble soon became known as "Lonnie Coppock and The Perfect Praise Chorale", which is under the auspices of The Perfect Praise Evangelistic Outreach Ministries, where Evangelist Carrie K. Coppock serves as pastor. Lonnie, as a young man, has lived and encountered many obstacles in his life, knew and realized that he had been anointed for ministry from his mother's womb, would one day be a leader of young people. Lonnie, who is a very direct, determined and hard working young man serves God, ministry and his family. The Perfect Praise Chorale (PPC) is composed of dedicated, spirit-filled young people from various Christian backgrounds whose primary focus is to minister through the word of God and through singing, offering hope to a generation that has been designated and labeled as a loss cause; a generation that is full of pain, no love, distrust, and disobedience. PPC is well loved and supported throughout the Savannah community and the low country area. Through this ministry, we have been able to witness to numerous religious and social organizations. Because of this, we have been able to overcome traditional and denominational obstacles and various stereotypes. Lonnie is a very talented individual. He is an accomplished musician and songwriter, who have found favor with many. Lonnie and PPC have worked with or participated in services with several renowned recording artists, such as: The Pace Sisters, Willie Bonds, Douglas Miller, Melvin Dawson, Luther Barnes, Henry Davis, Rance Allen, Kirk Franklin, Donnie McClurkin, and Timothy Wright, in addition to several local artists in the Savannah community. The Perfect Praise Chorale has also been featured in numerous concerts and anointed services as the special guest. They are known for rendering service unto the Lord and not just singing for fame, and surely not fortune. On May 18, 2002, PPC marked a milestone with their live recording of the group's first musical project, "Just Being Me". The musical compositions were arranged by Lonnie Coppock. In June 2004, Lonnie recorded a new CD with Melvin Dawson in Miami, FL with songs "Rumble" and "I've Never Seen the Righteous". They received accolades throughout the southeast Georgia area. Lonnie and PPC were winners of the WSOK Excellence Award in 2005 for Best Contemporary Group and they were nominated in 2006 in two categories. Both CD's are still being played on local radio stations and they are selling up and down the east coast, including New York and Connecticut. PPC has faced many adversities, hardships and losses. But LOVE, PRAYER, PRAISE and WORSHIP are the forces that bind the group in unity. The Perfect Praise Chorale focus on ministering to souls in the highest form. They offer relief, through songs of deliverance and healing, to those who are sick, perplexed and to those who feel they don't have a way of escape. Allow this young group to minister to you. You will truly be blessed. LOOK FORWARD TO ANOTHER PROJECT COMING SOON!
