Art Imitates Life
GROUP BIO M.A.N. (Magz and Nomad) are somewhat of an anomaly in hip hop today. While most popular artists are content releasing extraneous songs, M.A.N. strive to restore the integrity that hip hop has undoubtedly lost. Therefore, M.A.N. represent both the past and future of hip hop. Magz was born in Albany, NY. His introduction into writing lyrics came around the age of six when he began writing poetry. When he reached the age of eleven, Magz made the transition from writing poems to writing full songs. Years later he began producing music, but writing remained his primary focus. To date Magz has written well over a thousand songs. Nomad was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Staten Island, NY. His first love has been music since he was a child. In high school, playing in the band helped Nomad both appreciate and understand music even more. Years later he acquired music equipment and began developing his production skills. Nomad also began simultaneously honing his rhyme writing and singing abilities. Magz and Nomad met and formed the group M.A.N. in 2004. Realizing that artists on major labels don't have ownership of their music, M.A.N. decided to go the independent route. In January 2008, they formed their own label Dark Water Entertainment. M.A.N. are hard at work on their full length LP due out summer 2009.
