Born and raised in New Albany, MS, Michele began her music ministry at the age of 12, where she joined her church choir. She was immediately put to work singing solos and received vocal training at church and later in high school, where she studied abroad in England, France and Normandy. At age 15, Michele joined a professional community choir, The Voices From the Land of the Hanging Grapes, until high school graduation. She later earned her B.A. degree in Humanities from Mississippi State University with emphasis in French. While attending college, Michele was a member of several choirs, including the Mississippi State University Choir, and has shared the stage with artists such as Dr. Bobby Jones, the Late Rev. James Moore, The Mississippi Mass Choir and many others. Michele is currently a member of the Peter's Rock Temple C.O.G.I.C. and it's award-winning Mass Choir and has written for it's album, 'Standing In The Need'. 'Music is my love--since God is in my music, He speaks through it. I'm currently working on an album, and will let everyone know when it's released', she says. 'When my father became ill, God began gave me a song to sing to him while in the hospital. Shortly after his passing, God gave me more songs to write to encourage others who are dealing with every pain and issue, including this economic epidemic that has discouraged many of us, including us Christians.' Michele's debut album, 'Devine Favor', is composed of four songs written/produced by Michele in her father's memory. It is co- produced by her cousin, Raynon Finley, who ironically played at her father's funeral. The album is engineered by musician, producer and songwriter, Cassie Bonner (known for his work with The Bonner Brothers, Babyface, Michael Jackson, and Jessie Powell, etc...).
