Rising reggae artist MIKEY 'D' is a breath of fresh air on the musical scene, style as diverse with versatility, which takes his fans on a musical journey; your body feels good and you experience something new. Influences range from Artists, such as: Dennis Brown and Stevie Wonder; and various types of music, such as: house music, reggae, hip-hop and R&B. This musical history is revisited in a manner, which seeks to explore as well as celebrate. Mikey 'D' first released titled 'Don't give me no crack' recorded on the Ruff &Tuff label, entered the chart on 1190 WLIB in 1987; he had a series of singles after that, the title tracks 'Assassin' & 'Thursday Night,' maxi single, recorded on the Infinity label in 1991, 'Thursday Night' received extensive air play on Irie FM, Kingston, Jamaica WI. His next release was the title track 'Wisdom' recorded on Top Notch label in 1994, and became the theme song on WHCR FM, and is still being played. The last release on the Top Notch label was a maxi single title 'Hold Up Ya Hand' with bonus track title 'Come Have Some Fun' released in 2001; it was well received worldwide on over 500 radio stations, entered the Top Pop 40 chart in Europe and top many local charts and play lists. Mikey 'D' performed in various famous place, such as, showcase for the NAACP, Legend, Marcus Hall, Biltmore, Starlight and other distinguish clubs throughout New York City. He performed on stage with artists such as Shaggy, Trevor Sparks, Tipa Lee and many other famous names. HISTORY In the eighties, Mikey 'D' used to sing and chat on local sound systems in Kingston, Jamaica WI. Presented with the opportunity to become a DJ for the sound, which he turned down, deciding that he was going to put chatting aside and concentrate totally on singing. In 1982, he met Producer Barry Clark, who taught him about writing lyrics, but never got the chance to produce him because Mikey 'D' was getting ready to move to the USA.
