After a drastic change in her life Cassandra had to make a decision that would affect her and her children forever. She left home do to physical and mental abuse. Cassandra also left the church. She had to take on the roll of being a single parent. Feeling as though God had let her down aswellas her 3 children, Kenneth O. Timmons, Shanika N. Timmons and Bryant Timmons. She was still determinde to be somebody and to one day live a prosprous life. Knowing she needed God to complete this task she did not see a way. She worked hard to accomplish her goals and dreams. She work her way up from cashier to Manager of the Hardeels Resturant. Until she became a member of Grace Church Ministries under the pastorship of Elder Reginald L. Steele Sr. She redicated her life back to the Lord and became a faithful worker in the church her children also joined .She and her children joined the choir where she was the first Choir Director. She assisted in other areas of ministry when needed. Cassandra remarried in the year of 1997 to Minister James A. Young . Whom she had dated for about 2 years prior. James relocated to Atlanta Georgia during there engagement period. And later after the marriage she and her 3 children relocated to Atlanta Georgia for 10 years . James idea was for her to move to a place where she could get her music on the go and experience differnt areas of music in a place with much opportunity. Cassandra and her family joind The Word Alive Christian Center in Atlanta Georgia under the watch of Bishop Howard E. Franklin. There she joined the choir and the praise team. She was introduced to her minister of music Minister Troy Owens who God allowed to work with her gift. Cassandra joined Ministers Owens group 2nd Verse. The group ministered all over Atlanta at many churches and other states. After many rehersals and studio time 2nd Verse completed their first project entitiled Never The Less. This was a great experience for Cassandra but it ended when Minister Owens moved back to his home town. Cassandra stayed faithful to the church and the duties of the church. A new musician came on the seen by the name of Minister Albert Owens who work dilligently with the church choir and praise team. Albert had a group called Total Victory and asked Cassandra to come to the rehersal. Cassandra quickly became a member of this group . She enjoyed every moment. Total Victory also released their first CD entitaled Hold On. They also went all over Atlanta singing the gospel. What a time. She loves many artist, just to name a few; Shirley Ceasar, Fred Hammon, Donnie McClurkin, Yolanda Adams, Dottie Peoples, Men of Standard, Fantasia, Luther Vandross, Pattie Labelle, Denise Williams, Monica, Mary J. Blige, and many more. Cassandra did her first solo project in Atlanta Georgia on April 29, 2005 at the College Park Auditorium . releasing her debut CD 'No More Tears'. To pursue this CD was a challenge but a great opportunity to present herself to God aaying I'll go forth into the gospel music industry, singing and ministering to nations as long as God leads me and guieds me. Cassandra is a song writer, preacher, composer and producer in her own right under the guidence of the holy Spirit. The title of this CD illustrates both her past and present life of Cassandra . Her 'motto' for life is: The past is the past so I now look to my future. 'Hurt, abused mentally, physically, sexually, single parent, homeless, but through all of this God produced a great product in me'. She does not understand why God chose her after such a rugged life and not being a part of the fortunate side of life. But one thing realized that man will never give or validate your talents and gifts the way God will. God only expects us to give him all the glory and the praise and do everything as unto the lord. She beleiving she is in God's will moved back home to Columbia South Carolina to continue her music and to be a blessing to her home church Grace Church Ministries. At the church Cassandra is an active choir member and choir director assistant, she sings on the praise team and she teaches mime dance. Cassandra is still studying to become and effected minister in the gospel. Cassandra often says 'I know God has need of me'. My teachers and Instructors; Pastor Reginald L. Steele Sr., Bishop Howard E. Franklin, Assistant Pastor Daisy Minson, Elder Darla Steele, First Lady Mary Franklin, the late Evelyn Weston, Minister Troy Owens, Albert Owens, Javier Dykes and many more. Some believe that singing only compliments preaching. Whatever it takes, I just want to please God. Listen to the words, feel the anointing in the music, trust God in your situation and watch him dry your tears. You will begin to cry tears of joy. The joy of the Lord is your strength, this word is for you. I'll take it to the nations. 911 did not just happen in New York and Washington D.C., but right next door, right down the street, right there in the homes of many, it was here all along. People have been broken, burnt, deceived, feeling unexplainable and tremendously hurting pain in their lives . You can find someone dealing with a 911 everyday and in many different ways. I believe 911 happened to show us the answer to our own personal pain and hurt. I believe 'Prayer' is the answer and God is the key. God longs to heal you, let him do it. Give him a chance. You have been brought to the attention of this music for such a time as this. Be blessed friend to friend.
