Yes I Can
PAT TURNER has been working with children of all ages for over 30 years. One after school Drama workshop was for grades 3-5 at Vallecito Elementary School in San Rafael, CA. The project was to make a CD. The Vallecito children learned the songs and had the great experience of going to a recording studio. The 21 tracks (2 are instrumentals) are all original songs written by Pat Turner over her years of teaching. Some are from musicals she has written and some are from special performances and assemblies. All are tried and true kid-tested songs that children are guaranteed to enjoy. Recommended for pre-school and up. REVIEW of 'Yes I Can' Pat, Hi! I wanted to let you know how thrilled I am to be listening to your 'Yes I Can' CD with Amaya. It is so much fun! This past weekend, we were listening and singing along and I wasn't looking at what song came next, and before I knew it, I had a nostalgic meltdown! It was 'What a Night' that came on. Suddenly, I was back on stage as a Tempeltation. I even remembered the feather earrings I wore for that costume! I haven't thought about that in years!! An amazing flashback... and I really couldn't get over how it was making me feel! I was so giddy! :) Every time we sing along and the song is over... Amaya says 'Mommy! Another one!!' it's so funny because she says it after each song ends- and of course another one comes on right away! She asked me today 'Mommy, I want to hear Auntie Pat CD'- (she suuuurrrreeee did Pat! All by herself!) So, we were listening to the Lumberjack musical version and I explained to her the difference when she asked me 'what happened? why they aren't singing mommy?'. Then, today on the way home from preschool, the first one was on with the lyrics and she shouted 'Mommy! This one is with words!' ... so fun! I had to share with you! This is an amazing experience to share with my daughter and I thank you for the blessing of your MAGICAL and GENIUS musical gift. Love love love, Aisha.
