Recorded in New Orleans just before Katrina and completed in Nashville six months later, Pez Wilson's debut CD is named for a Gulf Coast town swept away by the hurricane. Traversing the territory between pop and country, Waveland 's bitter-sweet songs juxtapose the memory of small town life against the search for identity in a distant city. Singer/songwriter, trumpet player, and multi-instrumentalist Wilson has lined up some major players from the pop/country axis for this ground-breaking album, including guitarists Jeff King (Faith Hill), Shane Theriot (Jewel), and the legendary Tommy Moran (Dr. John). Pez Wilson now lives in Los Angeles, where he continues his work scoring music for film and theater.
