Lord the Best Thing Was My Finding You
I have written country gospel songs and then copyrighted since 1969, and have been turned down more times than I've got fingers and toes. I know it was Jesus that has kept me trying, that the right time would come. As the music changed I had to change my music and lyrics. I am 70 years old and i have been discouraged many times, but that is where your faith comes in. How bad do you want your dream to come to be! My wife and I are on limited incomes, so what we have all we need. We would love to have my songs go big! I have a severely degenerated spine and have to take 7.5 hydrocodone tablets 6 times a day for pain, and I still hurt. I have a heart condition stemming from bypass surgery 11-3-1998. I am heavenly blessed because I am a Korean veteran and get all my medicine free. We all have blessings if we will look for them! I consider myself a very good songwriter. I don't know where I'll live to hear them on the radio etc or not. However in my will all goes to my wife and her death all goes to the abused children of America! I help other people who are sick every day. You have to believe in Christ to write good gospel songs. If you don't believe in Jesus there no better time than now. Many think that with fame and fortune they would be happy; watch the news on TV - the heartache that most singers and actors and actress are having by turning to drugs. Why? You can't buy happiness; it is achieved by the way you live, you have to earn it. Nothing in this life is free except the love of Christ! When you have Jesus in your life all fancy material luxuries won't matter, like the old gospel song 'I'm going to build me a cabin in the corner of glory land.' God bless you is my prayer.
