Road Less Traveled
Lately Hip Hop has been traveling in circles taking listeners on a ride over and over around the same block exposing them to the same limited point of view. One that glorifies drug dealers, degrades females, and worships money. Year after year, album after album, new artist after new artist, Hip Hop continues to take us down the same road. However a new unsigned rapper/producer from the Washington D.C. area named RayVen has begun taking Hip Hop in a new direction. RayVen realizes music is a vehicle and as an artist he\'s the driver. On his latest album \'The Road Less Traveled\' he takes the opportunity to show his listeners there\'s more to life then chasing fame, fortune, and floozies. RayVen is 25, happily married, has a daughter he adores and at a drop of a dime will say the most important thing in his life is his relationship with Jesus Christ. What stands out about RayVen is he doesn\'t try to appeal to a certain group of people by becoming something his not. Everything he is in real life is reflected in his music. Although RayVen is what some may call a conscience MC. He knows very well the words are the last thing noticed. Therefore he constructs songs not only considering what to say but how to say it and when to say it, relying on the melody, rhythm, hook, and bridge to capture the audience. RayVen is not just a rapper but a producer and an engineer with a Degree from Full Sail University in audio engineering making him fully capable of finishing his projects completely on his own. RayVen has hopes of exposing as many people as possible to his music. However he refuses to compromise his character to do so. For those looking to follow another carbon copy of the last big thing down the neon lit, camera flashing, fortune and fame driven streets of Broadway RayVen won't be the one. However for those adventurous enough to try something new, you are highly encouraged to follow RayVen down \'The Road Less Traveled\'.
