Reckless Daughter is a dynamic, high-energy, 5-piece band from Boston, MA, playing original bluesy pop-rock and select cover songs. The band's roots were laid in 1997, when vocalist Maribeth Swan met keyboardist/guitarist Scott Whittle. After performing around Boston as an acoustic duo for several years, they broadened their sound by adding bass, drums and lead guitar. In 2000, they recruited a diverse group of musicians, grounded in rock, blues and funk, and Reckless Daughter was born. In 2001, Reckless Daughter recorded and released As They Seem. The album quickly received airplay throughout New England radio stations. At the same time, Reckless Daughter continued to bring their unique, energetic live performance to venues throughout Massachusetts as well as live on-air performances. In July of 2004, Reckless Daughter chose their appearance at Boston Harborfest's 'Party on the Plaza' to release their second album, the self-titled Reckless Daughter. The CD has been extremely well-received and is in strong rotation on radio stations throughout New England, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware.
