House Where You Live
Formed in 1991 by Barry Dowsett and Michael Kates, Red Shoes for Nancy have honed and refined a songwriting style that is at once instantly memorable and non-conformist. From their early performances at open-mics and small acoustic shows around Seattle, Red Shoes for Nancy have steadily matured as the two songwriters worked to craft songs for the ear and for the intellect. Now, many years later and with hundreds of performances to their credit, Red Shoes for Nancy have garnered much critical acclaim, performing with such international artists as Bare Naked Ladies, Jars of Clay, Tears for Fears and the Paperboys. The top AAA radio station in the region, KMTT (The Mountain) put their debut release 'House Where You Live' into rotation and shortly thereafter Red Shoes for Nancy became one of the station's top ten 'most requested' artists. This, combined with their powerful shows and unique musical style, has earned the duo a loyal following of music fans young and old as they continue to create music that endures the test of time. RSFN is currently working on new material for a yet to be annouced upcoming full length album. BAND MEMBERS: Barry Dowsett Michael Kates.
