Remove Before Flight
Remove Before Flight from Orlando, Florida is a 3-dimensional, 3 piece band with FM radio airplay from Missouri to Florida and international show experience. With two actual pilots in the group, Ken (Vocals and Guitar) and Rob (Drums) the name 'Remove Before Flight' has true meaning. Ken's gritty vocals coupled with an unmistakable driving guitar rhythm lay the foundation for an explosive act that transitions from deep rock to sensual acoustic at the drop of a hat. John on bass, builds the bottom end with his artistic and sweeping licks that melt across the music. There's no doubt, his experience of playing and living in over 7 countries throughout the world influences a variety of his styles.Rob keeps it all together with a brutal assault of time keeping that is sure to to have your foot tapping or your head banging. The story of Remove Before Flight begins with Ken Clark and his midwest roots of being born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. Within the music you will find Blues and BBQ mixed throughout the collection of songs. OK, so you will also find songs about dancing with Salsa Dance Champions, relationships, break ups and sometimes, dare we say, inspirational songs.Ken's first radio airplay began as a solo artist in Kansas City back in the Summer of 2002. A live performance on 90.1 FM's 'Matt the Ratt' show marked the beginning. The song, A New Dawn, was written and performed to inspire a friend to transition to the next, and better phase of life. And with that, the legend, or so Ken likes to think, was born.In the fall of 2002, Ken packed up and moved to Orlando, Florida. For the next few years, Ken wrote songs as they were inspired. Finally in 2004 he started to venture into the Orlando music scene playing the occassional solo gig. A solo acoustic album was recorded with 4 tracks entitled 'Acoustic Combustion' a name that reflected the combination of aggressive guitar and vocals. From that album came one of the first fan favorites, a meaningful ballad, Beautiful Insecurity.Fast forward to the fall of 2006 and the beginnings of 'Remove Before Flight' were formed. The first practice was inside a downtown Orlando office building with lawyers on both sides. Needless to say, that practice arrangement didn't last, but it inspired a song called 'Louder' about playing music, you guessed it, too loud. Since then, 'Remove Before Flight' has played shows from Tampa to Orlando to Daytona. The bands first Daytona radio play was thanks to The Scene hosted by Tattoo Todd on 95.7 FM the WHOG. Ken's acoustic music has also been featured on Orlando's 98.9 FM WMMO Sunday Morning Acoustic hosted by Jerry Steffen. In the Winter of 2007, the first live album of the band was released including tracks of BBQ Day, Echoes and Want Some.'Remove Before Flight' is now releasing their first full length album in 2009. With it, a new chapter and the ability to reach new fans around the United States and the World, will be born. There are also a dozen new songs sitting on a shelf, mostly in piles of paper, lyrics and other musicians scribble just waiting to be carefully crafted and assembled. Things are about to get very interesting . . .
