Richard Drexler has been popping up frequently as a sideman on over a hundred various CDs, and dazzling audiences worldwide in his travels with the astonishing Jeff Berlin Trio and with th Woody Herman Orchestra. Richard is also busy writing and performing classical music and appearing with chamber ensembles and symphony orchestras in addition to conducting clinics at universities. Senor Juan Brahms is the result of over six years of work, featuring the contributions of two dozen top musicians. It is a synthesis of the strongest elements of three major streams of music - Jazz, Classical and Latin. There is really nothing in the history of recorded music quite like this project. Legendary bassist, producer, sound engineering teacher and record label owner Gene Perla said, 'When I heard the Brahms project, I was bewildered. I didn't know who I was or where I was.' Eric Addeo of Joel Chriss & Co., one of the most active jazz booking agents, said, 'I have seen the future of jazz, and it's name is Richard Drexler.'
