HERE IS SOME RECENTLY DE-CLASSIFIED INFORMATION: 1986 - RADIOWAVES AND THE CHIEF: Scarea 61 Broadcasters uncover and transmit strange sonic material from darkened studios within KCMU 90.3 FM, Seattle. They interview International acts such as SKINNY PUPPY and ED-KASPEL/THE LEGENDARY PINK DOTS, have informal meetings with Conceptual Artist Chris Burden and FAR SIDE Illustrator, Gary Larson, and greet the kin of the legendary Chief SEATTLE. Scarea 61 conceptualizers then form the art group, PHAGE 1, producing several odd human experiences; 'Bend In The Vent', 'P.A.F.', 'I Don't Understand', 'Consent', and others which will remain unnamed and obscure. 1987 - MAIN PLANT AND CIRCUS FREAKS: Scarea 61 Architects open MAIN PLANT, (14th & Main St.), an extreme building for extreme people. Walls are torn open, holes bored in floors, mazes are constructed, ceilings covered with rubber, beams installed, ropes and harnesses hung, catwalks connected, floors replaced with grass, springs or other material. Performances such as 'IN RE THOTH' and 'INFESTUATION' feature ASH, VOID, MORTIMER, ABO, 000, GRINDERS CEASE;(early SKY CRIES MARY), and THE FINAL SOLUTION (members of THE JIM ROSE CIRCUS SIDESHOW; see X FILES episode 'Humbug'). It is here that Scarea 61 meet and become friends with artist HAROLD ARTHUR MCNEIL. Soon, Psycho-Analytical experiments are conducted into sleep deprivation, isolation, out-of-body dream teleportation, pain and mind-control. In a final performance MAIN PLANT spontaneously implodes, leaving only a full city-block strewn with brick and rubble. 1988 - MORTUARIES AND GHOSTS: Scarea 61 Sextons move into BLEITZ FUNERAL HOME. The attic and upper floors are converted into living quarters and a recording and production studio, Bleitz Reel-Fun Home. VIRFUL OBIRS; ('VIRF';BRFH, 'CELL';BRFH/Petri Supply, and various writings for the zine ART ATTACK). There they also view and document the presence of several anomalous apparitions which were discovered to exist in the building.(Scarea 61 were also the cremationists of the honorable MOTHER LOVE BONE Vocalist, ANDREW WOOD). 1989 - YEAST CULTURE, THE GOVERNMENT AND GUNS: Scarea 61 Musicians form YEAST CULTURE and hand-deliver the first copy of their L.P., 'IYS', to ANDREI CODRESCU, Director of Nat. Public Radio and EXQUISITE CORPSE. Subsequent Yeast Culture releases yield: 'FLAGELLATION OF THE NAKED ARTERIES', 'RENA LEICIA: EXPOSITION OF NOTHING', 'COMPOSCIL', 'SMORGASBORED'; Petri Supply, and 'CIRCUS CIRRUS', Arbitrary Snob Sound. YEAST CULTURE material appears on 'BLUTE UND BLUSE'; AK Tapes, Austria, 'PAPER AND PLASTIC'; Suitcase Tapes, U.S.A. 'VITAL U.S.#2','VITAL #27'; Vital/V2 Organization, Netherlands, 'UTILITIES' w/KAPPOTTE MUZIEK; Petri Supply, and 'URGENT TUBE' with SMALL CRUEL PARTY. Y.C. also team with sculptor David Crow to produce the structure and performance; 'CITIZENS OF FREMONT, THIS END UP?'. At it's shocking conclusion, unmarked vehicles careen around the corner, wheels screeching, while government types jump out surrounding the performers with drawn guns. 1990 - TRANSYLVANIA, A CAR CHASE, AND WOLVES: Scarea 61 Ambassadors travel Transylvania, meeting with Romanian artists, gathering various materials and traversing the CARPATHIAN mountains. During their pleasant stay, they barely survive a harrowing cross-country car chase pursued by unknown brigands, a wolf attack in the Bucegi Mts. and a series of painful rabies shots in Bucharest. However, their photographic work may be viewed at Manistirea Voratica, Moldavia. 1991 - INCUBATOR AND INSANITY: Scarea 61 Artists form INCUBATOR, a venue for international experimentalists such as ZOVIET FRANCE, PHAUSS, BILTING-KARKOWSKI, THE HATERS, GX-JUPITTER-LARSEN, BLACKHUMOUR, MERZBOW, BLOWHOLE, C103, YEAST CULTURE, VIRFUL OBIRS, 000, NALA OBA ELAD and TIM GRIMM. Also occurring are insane industrial rubber/leather fashion shows, conceptual art exhibits and psycho-delic raves. Many shows are dual-event evenings that begin at INCUBATOR and move on to other odd locations such as crawlspaces under buildings, abandoned WWI bunkers, decaying oil refineries, etc... After one such performance goes completely awry, Canadian illustrator, Colin Upton, angrily publishes a comic book called THE NEXT BIG THING, about the madness of working with INCUBATOR. 1992 - NUCLEAR EXPERIMENTS AND CCD2 LABS: Scarea 61 Scientists begin work with CHARGE COUPLED DEVICE LABS recording and processing the results of various lab experiments, such as a 2,000,000 Volt Tesla Coil, Double Vortex Molecular Re-compressor, 14 foot Gas Plasma Standing Wave Generator, and UFO Lifting Body Testbed. Scarea 61, CCD2 LABS and Nuclear Physicists from the FAST FLUX TEST FACILITY, Hanford, gather for a series of round-table discussions. FFAF/FFTF personnel design and build an experimental audio/visual processing system based on nuclear fission/fusion and quantum mechanics. Meetings are held with N.S.K., SIGNATURE THE SHIP, James Acord #WN-I0407-1, Earths only licensed nuclear sculptor, and others. 1993 - ROADKILL, EXPLOSIONS AND A MESSAGE OF PAYNE: Scarea 61 Operatives travel to Eastern Washington with KALAKALA FOUNDATION President, PETER BEVIS to gather roadkill for use in bronze sculpture and make audio/visual recordings of explosive art destruction. The material is re-processed and broadcast late at night via KSER 90.7 FM to workers in and around the WORLDS LARGEST BUILDING at Payne-Field, WA. 1994 - AREA 51, NATIVE AMERICANS AND ZIPPIES: Scarea 61 Agents explore the west examining unusual locations near AREA 51 and Bonneville Salt Flats. At ARCO-SANTE experimental city, AZ, they meet with fleeing U.K. ravers, 'THE ZIPPIES', who had recently been extradited by English Authorites for staging a massive un-authorized rave at STONEHENGE. Scarea 61 Representatives then travel with THE RAINBOW FAMILY, listen to HOPI/NAVAJO elders, assist in the production of the UNITY GATHERING OF NATIONS and head out on GRATEFUL DEAD tour with a roving band of hippies. One such representative accepts a request by locals to play 'Jesus' for their large outdoor play beneath Picacho Peak. (He finds the irony especially amusing, considering he is not affiliated with any religion). Scarea 61 then return to Seattle, meet with HEMPFEST founder, Vivian McPeak, and assist in the production of SEATTLE PEACE CONCERTS '94. 1996 - THE HORRIBLE LITTLE BIG SCREEN Scarea 61 Actors portray 'Vampires' and 'Paranoid Humans' in two shorts films: ENDALL; by Seattle Director, Scott Ryan Mus. and MYZOGENE ('92); by N.Y. Director, Shade Rupe. 1997 - VANISHING: Scarea 61 Personnel exchange data with Cevin Key, of SKINNY PUPPY, before relocating to a new location, where VANISHING STUDIOS is created and work begins on mixing past archives of audio/visual data into new structure and form. 2000 - CROP CIRCLES AND CRAZINESS: Scarea 61 Cartographers examine an odd crop-circle which appears near VANISHING STUDIOS. Measurements and recordings are made regarding it's alignment to area details. A decryptive analysis of the object is performed. 2002 - EARTHEATER: Scarea 61 Technicians complete 'EARTHEATER' on 02-20-02, 20:20 am. 2003 - PARANORMAL PARTYGOING: Scarea 61 Investigators research planetary phenomena, conducting excursions through remote areas of the West. They meet with renowned Researcher, Stanton Freidman during a UFO Festival in McMinnville, Oregon and converse with ranch owner, James Gilleland, who states that he has seen numerous unidentified craft above his property.
