Spring Fed is an original rock band hailing from Saratoga Springs, NY. The band was established in the summer of 1998. At that time, Spring Fed was ready to create a 'new' classic rock sound. Albeit, Hard Americana. The spring of 2000 has brought about the release of Spring Fed's debut album, 'After The Beat Generation'. Spring Fed has received steady critical acclaim as a touring act. They have been selected as song writing finalists in the Ticketmaster/Yamaha National Talent Search and became semi-finalists in the Mars Music/Palm Records National Talent Search (among a field of 1000's). Spring Fed's itinerary consists of original, eclectic rock. Spring Fed has been a steady favorite performing in eastern music festivals, clubs, colleges and consistently opening for major label acts. They have achieved ample media coverage on radio, television and print. January 2001 brings about a face lift for the band. With the band replacing their old Bass Player with a fresh new attitude and energy, and adding an Acoustic Guitar and Backing Vocals to assist in the fulfillment of the sound and live performance they have been in search of. Brian Gibney (Guitar/Lead Vocals): Brian was previously the front man for the Boston based band 'The Herms'. He has extensive touring experience and has gained excellent recognition as a writer and performer. Dan Macdonald (Drums/Anything you can hit!): 'Danimal' was most recently a member of The Refrigerators. Dan is the embodiment of focus & raw energy! Dan Welsh (Bass Guitar): The worst dressed player in the band with a spirit and understanding of music far beyond the expectations of all band members. Jim McArdle (Acoustic Guitar/Vocals): Jim most recently fronted another original Saratoga band named 'Pouch'. Upon their separation, Spring Fed snatched this talented singer/songwriter right up.
