Holy Spirit Come on in the Room[CD]
Stefanie and friends Stefanie and Friends was organized in 1982 by Rev. Stefanie R. Minatee after a soul-stirring concert at The Mount Olivet Baptist Church in Newark, New Jersey. The original group members were Rev.Tonya Fields-Brooks, Jean Murphy, Cheryl Gissentanner-Bellamy, Roschelle Elmore, Lorraine Woods. The late Gregory Thompson, the late Bernard Henson, Rev. Charles Bowman and Vincent Drayton. The group ministered for many years throughout the city of Newark, the State of New Jersey. SAF ministered especially to youngsters at correctional facilities, and to our elderly in nursing homes. In 1995, after a 7 year waiting period, the group recorded it's first CD, 'Finally'. Such Gospel Music notables as James Perry, Donald Parker, Carlton Pope, Jeff Davis, Brian Morgan, Nancey Jackson and Alan Cherry came together to lend their gifts to this project. This project was well received and is still being played throughout the United States and abroad. In the spring of 1997, the group was blessed to record it's second CD 'Holy Spirit, Come On In the Room', live in Plainfield, New Jersey. This project features traditional gospel at it's' best, power-packed with praise and worship. This project features one of Gospel music's top drummers, Sheryl Harper, Alan Cherry and Mike Westbrooks on keyboards, Richard Sussman and Reverend Charles Bowman on guitar. James Perry and Willis Hickerson share on strings and brass. The session was attended and cheered on by Gospel Great Evang. Dorothy Norwood. Suggested cuts are the title track 'Holy Spirit Come On In the Room', 'I Really Love You' featuring Anthony Darby, 'Only You Lord', and 'I'm Glad He Lives In Me'. Reverend Tonya Fields-Brooks provides a unique flavor with Thank You Lord. Although this CD was recorded almost 10 yars ago, the music is still fresh and anointed. The project continues to receive rave reviews. Members of SAF are also members of the critically acclaimed choir 'Jubilation'. Through the years the personnel has changed, but the message remains the same, 'Only What You Do For Christ Will Last.' SAF wants you to know that Gospel Music should never be used to entertain, but to enlighten. It is good news for bad times. For booking info, please visit our website. Be Blessed.
