Journey to Love
Steven King studied music in California sharing college music classes with rock guitar legend Eddie Van Halen, but Steven took his education farther into jazz, arranging, orchestration, and solo fingerstyle guitar. Steven developed his own unique guitar style in the 80's and 90's which won him the coveted National Fingerstyle Guitar Championship at Winfield, Kansas in 1994. As a clinician artist for Taylor Guitar Company from 1995 to 2005, Steven's concerts and guitar clinics took him around the USA and to Europe and Asia. Steven has recorded 21 various guitar CDs on his own record label that are sold on his website, and another CD, on a prominent German record label . Steven's solo guitar CD, "Classical Swing" is a unique concept in guitar music, a solo guitar exploration of some of the greatest music ever written from two points of view, CLASSICAL and JAZZ. 10 King CDs are totally original, most of which are to be available both digitally and in CD disc form soon. Other CDs by Steven King include 7 highly acclaimed albums dedicated only to his own solo guitar arrangements of 100 Beatles songs, as well as CDs featuring his guitar treatment of jazz standards, popular music, show tunes, children's songs, and originals. Steven is sought out for his live solo guitar concerts, and also to perform the guitar parts with other artists, such as Bernadette Peters and Cubby O'Brien.
