'Best Trop-Rock Album of 2008!' - Island Time Radio Show Young Rebel Goombas are Richie Saccente, Cosmo Mallardi, Brian 'Uncle Bee' Johnson, Randy Knudsen and Kevin McCann. Legendary saxophonist Richie Cannata joins on several tracks. S. Cosmo Mallardi is a Graduate of Mannes College of Music, Juilliard pre-college and holds a Master of Music degree from the Yale School of Music. He has conducted on Broadway and music-directed the National Tours of Les Miserables, Jekyll and Hyde and Elton John and Tim Rice's AIDA. He also supervised the Japanese and Korean productions of AIDA as well as conducted and produced the Japanese cast album of AIDA. He plays both acoustic and electric bass, keyboards and sings. Richie Saccente is a veteran song writer and guitar player. His pursuit of music over his career led him to perform with such groups as Night Train, Delusions of Grandeur, Troll, Sweeney and The Mangos. He studied music at Queensboro College. 'Duane Allman and Dicky Betts would be my biggest musical influences - along with a lot of the great guitarists from that era,' says Saccente. Both Mallardi and Saccente received an Emmy® award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in 2007 for composing the soundtrack for the PBS documentary 'Farmboy'. Richie Cannata was a member of Billy Joel's band from 1975 - 1981. For over a decade he has been a member of The Beach Boys, playing on their recordings as well as all of the world concert tours. He is also the founder and co-owner of Cove City Sound Studios.
