This program is not only a recording of an opera gala with an all-star cast. It is a historical document of a concert evening, which brings together eleven of the greatest opera voices, with a superb program of famous arias from Italian, Russian and German operas performed in one of the world's oldest and most prestigious opera houses - Moscow's Bolshoi Theatre. One highlight of the evening is Hermann Prey's "Lied an den Abendstern" from Richard Wagner's "Tannh+±user".
