Stones In The Pathway - Special Edition: Product Description: Special Edition of their original 2008 release which was followed five years later by the release of Soundtrack For The Apocalypse. The first 12 demos that Sound of Days ever recorded, including remixed and remastered tracks. Only available as a physical purchase. Editorial: Any band would be doing well if their first demo recordings sounded as good as these. That being said these first recordings are more consistent in style and mantra-like in voice that the later Sound of Days recordings; more steeped in the history of rock music than "hacky" and more of a cool mantra than, some would say, "monotonous." The earliest Sound of Days Recordings are generally described as poetic yet somewhat loud and raucous. For more early recordings from Sound of Days check out the best-of-the-early-recordings collection, Monarch. This special edition rereleases Stones In The pathway. Originally released in September 2008, this is the Sound of Days indie label debut. These are the first twelve demos that Sound of Days ever recorded. The highlights of this album are 'Joyride,' 'Mamma's Blues,' and 'Alone,' which amongst other early recordings, later re-released on the best-of-the-early-recordings collection Monarch, helped find Sound of Days a cult following even before the release of Soundtrack For The Apocalypse. This album represents a band in it's infancy. Featuring edgy contemporary rock focusing on aspects that appeal to the hidden, artistic soul of the genre, this album is soulful, bluesy, and at times heavy and intense.
