Walkin' My Cat Named Dog
- LP
- Artist: Norma Tanega
- Genre: Jazz
- Release Date: 8/28/2020
Four Seasons songwriter Bob Crewe signed this young singer to his New Voice label, and success was instant, as the title cut from this 1966 LP shot to #22. But, despite its approachable folk-pop sheen, this LP reveals an artist with an unconventional voice and idiosyncratic song structures. Further challenging her sustained success: she moved to London for five years after meeting Dusty Springfield on a UK tour and embarking on an artistic and romantic relationship with her. Later, Norma switched to percussion in more experimental settings; here, though, is her 1966 cult-classic LP, in stereo! The first pressing (green limited vinyl) sold out quickly, so don't wait to add this sky blue limited pressing to your collection. The title hit, "You’re Dead" (as heard in "What We Do in the Shadows"), "Jubilation," "Don’t Touch" and more! Real Gone Music.
